Peter Kellner’s Keynote Address at Government 2010

Friday, October 30th, 2009

On the 22nd of October, Quadriga Consulting – in conjunction with Switch New Media – held the first Government 2010 live streamed event from London.  While we had just around 80 invited guests and speakers in the room, the event was watched by over 1,100 people worldwide – from 29 countries and 129 cities.

The event generated over 75 pages of tweets using the event’s #g2010 hash tag – indeed #g2010 was a UK trending topic on Twitter on the day of the event.

Speakers included Peter Kellner of YouGov; Adam Afriyie MP, Shadow Minister for Science and Innovation; William Heath, founder of Kable; and Tom Steinberg of MySociety.org

Government 2010 has only just started – we’re already hatching plans for next year.  Watch this space.  Oh and you may wish to watch Peter Kellner’s keynote address while you’re here.  The rest of the presentations and panel sessions can be found here.

Government 2010 Beta Site Now Live

Sunday, June 7th, 2009

I’m delighted that the Government 2010 web site is now live.  This is the best place to get up to date on what promises to be one of the most important series of government 2.0 events in the UK over the course of the next year.

Our first event will be in London in October.

Click here to visit the Government 2010 web site.

It’s very early days but I wanted to pop something up here so that people had something to read about Government2010.  We’ll be launching the Government2010 web site shortly.  But be sure to follow me on Twitter to stay up to date.  [Stop Press: Beta Site Now Launched]

Government2010 will be a live interactive streamed conference that will take place (provisional date) on October 22nd 2009 in London.  The event will be streamed, live, globally.  Anyone, anywhere in the world, with a broadband connection, will be able to watch and participate in the event.  Government2010 is a co-production between Quadriga Consulting and Switch New Media.  Switch is one of the leading players in live streamed events in the UK.

We’re delighted that YouGov will be our official research partner for the event.  The senior team at YouGov will be supporting us on the day and will be taking part in the panel sessions.  Iain Dale, the top political blogger, is also part of our team.  Our first official media sponsor is Total Politics magazine.  Luke Spikes of Spikes Cavell will also be on our advisory panel.

Government2010 promises to be one of the most exciting and stimulating events to take place this year.  Its focus will be on how technology is changing the process of government.  We have prepared a short teaser video.  But the best way to keep up to speed on what’s happening is to follow me on Twitter and to keep an eye on the #g2010 hashtag using twitter search.
