Client Media Release: Replify
Belfast October 28, 2009 – Replify – one of the first companies to introduce an all-software based WAN optimisation and application accelerator – today announced Version 3.4.1 of its accelerator software designed to enhance integration across enterprises and increase bandwidth speeds and reduce latency across WANs.
With three quarters of the world’s workforce estimated to be mobile by 2012, technology to improve remote working is needed now more than ever. This new software will make it easier for enterprises to reduce frustration with slow download at branch offices and for remote workers, as well as to avoid expensive proprietary hardware installations.
Replify’s Reptor Accelerator architecture further enhances Replify’s XDR bi-directional data reduction technology so that both data centres and branch offices require one virtual appliance instance. The news comes in light of recent analysis by Gartner Group that identifies business resiliency as critical for effective operations management.
The new version will enable businesses to rapidly deploy the solution and to manage users through its ‘client awareness’ functionality. Replify also augments Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures – critical for any business.
Joe Boyle, Head of Sales at Replify comments: “This collection of improvements further streamlines the Replify Accelerator Suite and makes the product more refined for enterprise implementation. We have recently implemented the solution in large, distributed enterprise environments and have better understood – from the customer perspective – how to make the product more elegant from an implementation and systems integration point of view.

And we have taken the opportunity to make the charting functionality more compelling, as well as improve the host identification and naming. The result is an improved product in many operational areas, recognised in the market with really positive feedback from our customers and resellers.”

The suite now includes seamless integration between corporate servers and distributed workgroup resources. It achieves this by accelerating traffic between virtual appliances, in the corporate data centre, and remote offices connected by wide area network connections. This means that remote workgroup workers have a significantly improved collaborative working and file sharing experience.

Replify (http://www.replify.com), the WAN optimization and application acceleration software firm – today announced general availability of Version 3.0 of its Reptor acceleration suite of products.
The Reptor is a 100% software based WAN Optimization solution that allows network managers complete control and visibility of network resources through the new Reptor Enterprise Manager. The new Reptor Enterprise Manager offers visibility of each and every client on the network, offering fine-grained reporting on individuals’ experience for applications and protocols. The new overview capabilities also facilitate clear analysis of the acceleration for each business critical application.
Other improvements have also been incorporated into version 3 that will further enhance Replify’s market leadership in the all-software WAN optimization space – as evidenced by over 100 deployments in over 40 countries worldwide.
According to Kevin Donaghy, Replify’s CEO, “We are establishing clear blue water between ourselves and the competition with this release. The product is already recognised as one that is simple to deploy and a no-brainer for accelerating applications used by latency and bandwidth constrained mobile and remote workers. As well as producing this enhanced reporting we’ve now added even better acceleration for CIFS, Windows files sharing, and HTTP traffic.
“Our XDR optimization technology, for example, has been improved still further. From an end user’s perspective it means that data gets to users in seconds rather than minutes – and there is no need for investment in new boxes at the server or client ends. That’s what makes this product truly unique. It used to be that application acceleration was only for the chosen few but now anyone that uses slow or mobile connections to company servers can get massively improved application performance – and it’s a doddle for the network guys to implement back at base. Plus they can see who’s using what and when using a fabulous visual management console.”
PC Quest, the Indian based enterprise software magazine, recently tested the Reptor suite. Their final verdict was:
“If you see the ease of configuration and performance against pricing, it is a brilliant product. On top of it, the licensing model is versatile making it suitable for setups such as BPOs, test centers, etc.”
