The last 10 years…

Apparently only 1 in every 10 small consultancy firms lasts 10 years. We’re one of the one in ten. But we’ve only been able to survive and thrive because of the support and loyalty of our fabulous clients, employees and associates.

Our first paying client, 10 years ago, was The Gem – the CRM outsourcing firm (now part of Concentrix).  Our most recent is Stratton Craig.  And, in-between, we have worked with a veritable Aladdin’s cave of clients including Microsoft, BT, IBM, Amacis, Oxford Economics, Kable, Invest NI, Provita Eurotech, DETI, Strategic Investment Board, Taylor Wessing, SLA Mobile, Aepona, Replify – and many, many more.

We hope to make several announcements during 2012 about new clients, and new partnerships.  But I also wanted to say ‘thanks’ to everyone who has supported us over the last 10 years.  It’s been fun.

Socialising the Business: The Seminars

2012 marks the 10th Anniversary of Quadriga Consulting.  To celebrate, we’re running a series of seminars throughout the year…

On Thursday January 19, 2012 we’re holding a two-hour seminar called Socialising the Business.  The event is free to attend.  The seminar will held at 10.00am and repeated at 2.00pm.

Socialising the Business will look at how social tools – such as social media, social CRM and cloud technologies – are transforming how all types of businesses do business in international markets.  Therefore the seminar will be of interest to Marketing Directors and Managers, Business Development Managers, CEOs and Business Owners and Corporate Communications Executives.

Jeff Peel, Managing Consultant at Quadriga Consulting, will be joined by Michael Kerr, Managing Director of Provita Animal Health, who will touch on how his company is developing its international business – supported by the social web.

By attending you’ll find out more about:

  • How the corporate web site is being transformed by next generation content management systems
  • How businesses are embracing social media to engage in conversations across the globe
  • Why easily implemented social tools can make collaboration easier for your staff and suppliers
  • The challenges of implementing a social media marketing strategy

The seminars will be held in the meeting room at Lisburn's Premier Inn

The events will also be a good opportunity to network with your peers from other businesses.

Reserve your place

The seminars are free to attend and will be held at Lisburn’s Premier Inn Hotel on January 19, 2012 (we’ll be running separate morning and afternoon sessions – and we’re limited to just 25 attendees at each session).

We expect considerable interest in these events. So please reserve your space as soon as possible.

Virtual ICT Week and Smart Cities

Virtual ICT Week runs from 28th November to 2nd December 2011, sponsored by Eircom Northern Ireland and with support from Cisco and Microsoft.

It will be a series of lunchtime webinars on a range of issues that will impact Northern Ireland stakeholders. We encourage anyone with an interest in our collective future to attend and participate, and to ask the question “what does all this mean for me?”

Jeffrey Peel of Quadriga Consulting will be taking part in the session on Tuesday, 29th November from 1 to 2pm.  Jeff will touch on the impact of pervasive mobile devices in creating new smart cities.  More…

The event series is being run by Digital Northern Ireland 2020.

The Digital Northern Ireland 2020 (DNI2020) Advisory Board was set up in 2010. The body wants to promote Northern Ireland as one of the world’s Global Cloud Computing Nodes.

Access to high speed reliable broadband is a key source of economic growth in the 21st Century. Widespread access will enable the transformation of citizen services. Robust, resilient international connectivity will enable Northern Ireland to act as an effective knowledge worker hub in the Global Economy. This will mean more jobs, faster growth, stronger investment, improved efficiencies and better quality of life for all.

Conversations #2: 9th September 2009, London

Conversations #2 will take place on the evening of September 9th in London (time and venue to be confirmed).  These events are organised by Quadriga Consulting for FRONT

Following our hugely successful event earlier in the year we plan to adopt a similar format of conversations with industry experts that will be video recorded in front of a live audience.  As before, the conversations will be chaired by Jeffrey Peel of Quadriga Consulting.

Conversations #2 will focus on Broadcasting 2.0 – how web 2.0 technologies are transforming the process of communications.  Sessions will focus on what traditional media organizations need to do to embrace broadcasting technologies.  How new media can augment existing channels – for traditional marketers.  How viral techniques can transform the marketing process.  How media organizations are themselves embracing broadcasting 2.0 to provide niche content.  How streaming media is transforming the live event.

Senior members of the FRONT team will also be available to provide advice and guidance for delegates that need to better understand how to approach their next Broadcasting 2.0 project.

Just use our contact form to register for the event.  Be sure to tell us why you are interested in broadcasting/video content on the web – and we’ll try to ensure the content on the evening covers your interest area.

Government 2010 Beta Site Now Live

I’m delighted that the Government 2010 web site is now live.  This is the best place to get up to date on what promises to be one of the most important series of government 2.0 events in the UK over the course of the next year.

Our first event will be in London in October.

It’s very early days but I wanted to pop something up here so that people had something to read about Government2010.  We’ll be launching the Government2010 web site shortly.  But be sure to follow me on Twitter to stay up to date.  [Stop Press: Beta Site Now Launched]

Government2010 will be a live interactive streamed conference that will take place (provisional date) on October 22nd 2009 in London.  The event will be streamed, live, globally.  Anyone, anywhere in the world, with a broadband connection, will be able to watch and participate in the event.  Government2010 is a co-production between Quadriga Consulting and Switch New Media.  Switch is one of the leading players in live streamed events in the UK.

We’re delighted that YouGov will be our official research partner for the event.  The senior team at YouGov will be supporting us on the day and will be taking part in the panel sessions.  Iain Dale, the top political blogger, is also part of our team.  Our first official media sponsor is Total Politics magazine.  Luke Spikes of Spikes Cavell will also be on our advisory panel.

Government2010 promises to be one of the most exciting and stimulating events to take place this year.  Its focus will be on how technology is changing the process of government.  We have prepared a short teaser video.  But the best way to keep up to speed on what’s happening is to follow me on Twitter and to keep an eye on the #g2010 hashtag using twitter search.
